Upon finding a copy of Leo Strauss and Joseph Cropsey’s The History of Political Philosophy while on a recent trip to Orlando, I decided to go through each chapter and write a 750-1000 word essay on each. This blog is my work on that effort. The project will begin in late July after I get back from an ISI meeting in Birmingham, starting with my analysis of the prefaces (the prefaces for all three editions are included in my copy) as well as the introduction. It will end sometime in late April or early May with the essay on Martin Heidegger. I plan to write one essay a week. Thank you and I hope you enjoy following this project.
